Marco Pedroso

Researcher

Researcher in Civil Engineering at CERIS - Civil Engineering Research and Innovation for Sustainability, Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), University of Lisbon, Portugal since January 2018.

5-year Degree in Territorial Engineering at IST – University of Lisbon (Portugal, 2007), Advanced Training Diploma in Acoustic Engineering at IST – University of Lisbon (Portugal, 2010), MSc in Construction and Rehabilitation at IST – University of Lisbon (Portugal, 2014). Worked as project manager and Technical Director of an Acoustics laboratory before starting to work as a research fellow in CERIS – IST – University of Lisbon in January 2017.

The PhD research was based upon aerogel-based fibre-enhanced thermal insulating renders for application on buildings’ envelopes for added economic, energetic, and environmental efficiency. This research was a consequence of his participation in a P2020 project (Efficient Plus Wall - POCI-01-0247-FEDER-017417), where CERIS – IST – University of Lisbon, FEUP – University of Porto and Saint Gobain Weber Portugal collaborated to develop a complete wall solution for obtaining low values of thermal resistance while keeping low environmental impacts.

The PhD Thesis was finished in May 2021.
